The good: Includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; built-in keyboard; cradle can charge second battery; high-capacity, removable cell.
The bad: Expensive; larger than an average handheld; corporate e-mail should be easier to set up.
The bottom line: It's longer than your average Pocket PC, but its integrated keyboard and higher-capacity battery make the H4350 a top choice for heavy Wi-Fi users.

Perfect On the Road for 8-hour-deposition Warrior!
by hlaureles on April 4, 2005
Pros: Battery life; usable thumb keypad; Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
Cons: No number lock. Wish IR was on the top, though it works. High-priced, though not compared to the laptop it replaced for me!

Summary: I love it! As a lawyer tired of lugging my 23-pound laptop and all my other heavy stuff to depositions at various sites, I wanted a pocket PC that would replace my laptop. No more searching for plug-ins; the battery life on this thing is so good that I can type notes during an 8-hour deposition without worrying. I bought an extended life extra battery, and have never even used it, the original battery is so good! The screen is big enough to enjoy NY Times webpage articles and more. It works well with the PalmOne universal wireless keyboard through IR, but the thumb keypad is perfect for internet wandering and entering contacts. I can fit both the PC and keyboard in this tiny little clutch-purse, and you'd never know it holds all my work! The Pocket PC Word converts to WP on my work computer, and not once have I missed my laptop. I can do my billing in Excel, or record it like dictation. Love the design. Get a car charger, and you're good to go!

The perfect PDA

Summary: I am in the UK and imported my unit on the reccomendation of CNET. I use the unit regularly but not very heavy use. The keyboard would seem to me as a no brainer for such a device (it makes typing and other inputting so much faster and accurately)but such a feature would really need to be fantastically set out. It is. The screen is a marvel in such a small unit, the quality is towards the PSP i also own. It's still small. Very slim and attractive and seems competent at everything you would need (activesinc/recognising pc files etc) it is a pocket pc after all and you can always download software for it. It plays video well and has good quality audio should you want to use it for such things. I'm very very picky and have nothing to complain about. Definitely reccomend it for any user. I've read reviews that have complained of it's size but it doesn't seem any bigger to me than others. I have it fitted into an aluminium case which increases the size rather a lot and it still fits into my trouser pockets. Also the buttons have a good feel and it feels well made.

Info is out of date... no longer available
Pros: Truly unfortunate... this info is way outdated. I tried to buy this products a couple of weeks ago, no one stocks it any longer and HP says it is no longer available.
Cons: To bad CNet is publishing out of date information. Even worse is that the product is no longer available.

A Real Handheld Computer

Summary: This is a great device that, thanks to its keyboard, can do much of the work of a laptop. Windows functions (file explorer, hierarchical folders) allow for great data organization. Built-in wi-fi makes downloading e-mail or Avant-Go a snap and avoid the need to boot up and synch a computer. I really dig this device.
The size doesn't bother me. I usually carry it in a bag, but it can be carried in a (front) pocket in a pinch.
The wi-fi can sometimes fail to connect, particularly if you haven't updated the operating system. And the central 5-way button is a bit small -- especially the center button.
But a winner overall!3 out of 3 users found this user opinion helpful.

Overall a great handheld!
Pros: This unit is supposedly too long. I disagree, if you liked any of the older ipaqs, or any of the older pocket pcs, than this should be no problem. This thing isn't your grandpa's pda though. Its loaded with great things like Wi-fi bluetooth, an actually u
Cons: Well, I really don't think that there are many bad points in this handheld, but I wish that the IR was on the top. I also wish that it had come with home control like many other of HPs handhelds have. The one time I did have a problem, It took me 2 hours

I tried a bunch of models for months.
Pros: This one seemed to make the grade with all of the hype out there. Had this one a little over a month, no problems so far and I use the thing daily, very user friendly. Haven't tried the WIFI yet. I landed on this one because of the excellent color scre
